Julie & Dan's Wedding

In the Atlas Mountains of Morocco...

Dan's parents exploring the souks of Marrakech

Our parents at dinner at Dar Yarcout in the old city of Marrakech

Ksar Char-Bagh, an exquisite palace in the Palmeraie district of Marrakech...

The library is reached by a circular staircase off the receiving room.

The central interior courtyard contains a reflecting pool.

A small salon off the main hall served as an informal gathering place.

The swimming pool is surrounded by lush palms.

Our ceremony took place in a private alcove of the palace, with water flowing through the center and rose petals in abundance.

A berber tent was erected on the grounds for our reception.

Following the ceremony, we were transported to the reception on camel.

And received with rose petals!

We were entertained by musicians...

and acrobats...

and a snake charmer...

and a fire breather.

We had drinks in the parlor before dinner.

And we had a wonderful celebratory meal in the grand salon...

with music...

and dancing...

Special thanks to Nicole Grandsire LeVillair, proprietor of Ksar Char-Bagh & Olivier Freguin, photographer.
